Does this look like a scene from a cruise ship? I guess I was missing my kitties after seven days at sea. I had toned some paper with watercolor as I thought I might want to do some plein air drawings. At the next port however, the rain came down the entire time. So, this little darling I drew using a reference photo on my cell phone. I had snapped the photo of the kitty sleeping on my sofa arm under the lamp light. She has such a raccoon tail. I went in directly with my micron pen, so I had to take care in the beginning to measure proportions, angles, and see how one element interacted with another. The shading part is actually somewhat mindless and soothing. The price of "Cat Tail" includes a deep-set black frame and tan black-core mat.
